Povzetek

Prispevek poudarja pomen razvojne vloge svetovalne službe oz. pomen prizadevanja za premik od krizno-kurativne k razvojno-preventivni naravnanosti svetovalne službe, kar bi moralo biti glede na aktualne strokovne razprave glavno vodilo pri prenovi programskih smernic za delo svetovalnih delavcev. Predstavljene bodo nekatere ugotovitve o delovanju svetovalne službe pri nas, ki kažejo na potrebo po usmeritvi k razvojnemu delovanju službe. V kontekstu razvojne funkcije vidimo svetovalno službo kot osrednjo notranjo vzgojno-izobraževalno strokovno središče, ki pomembno bdi nad zagotavljanjem varnega in spodbudnega učnega okolja ter tako optimalnih pogojev za celostni razvoj, učenje in doživljanje uspeha, zadovoljstva ter pripadnosti vseh otrok in mladostnikov, pa tudi strokovnih delavcev in vzgojno-izobraževalne ustanove kot celote.

Importance of the Counselling Service‘s Development Role in Educational
Institutions in the Context of Modernizing the Counselling Service‘s Programme Guidelines

The article highlights the importance of the counselling service’s development role or of efforts for the counselling service to shift from a crisis/curative orientation to a development/preventive orientation; judging from current expert discussions, this should be the guiding principle in modernizing the programme guidelines for the work of counsellors. The article will present some findings about the operation of Slovenian counselling services, which indicate the need to focus on development work. In the context of the development function, we view the counselling service as the central internal educational and professional centre which makes sure that a safe and stimulating learning environment is provided and, through it, optimal conditions for the holistic development, learning, success, satisfaction and belonging of all children and adolescents, of the professional staff and of the educational institution as a whole.
