Pomen poklicne in karierne orientacijev osnovni in srednji šoli

Povzetek

Eno temeljnih področij dela šolskega svetovalnega delavca je, da v sodelovanju z vsemi udeleženci v šoli sodeluje pri načrtovanju in izvajanju šolske ter poklicne in karierne orientacije. V prispevku predstavljamo del rezultatov obširne študije o šolskem svetovalnem delu v Sloveniji, s poudarkom na analizi odgovorov o poklicni in karierni orientaciji. Izsledki raziskave kažejo, da svetovalni delavci povprečno veliko časa porabijo za opravljanje nalog na področju poklicne in karierne orientacije, pri čemer so svetovalni delavci srednjih šol to področje po pogostosti opravljanja nalog statistično pomembno višje rangirali kot svetovalni delavci v osnovnih šolah. Tudi precej velik delež staršev, učencev in dijakov je izpostavil pomembno vlogo šolske svetovalne službe na področju nadaljnjega šolanja, poklicne in karierne poti mladostnikov. Glede na dobljene rezultate poudarimo pomembnost poklicne in karierne orientacije že v osnovni šoli.

Abstract

Importance of Vocational and Career Guidance in Primary and Secondary School

One of the main areas of a school counsellor’s work is cooperation with all the stakeholders in the school in planning and implementing school, vocational and career guidance. The paper presents a part of the results of a comprehensive study on school counselling in Slovenia, focusing on an analysis of answers relating to vocational and career guidance. Th e research findings show that counsellors, on average, spend a lot of time doing vocational and career guidance tasks; counsellors at secondary schools rated this area with regard to the frequency of task performance statistically significantly higher than the counsellors at primary schools. A considerable proportion of the parents, pupils and secondary school students also highlighted the important role of the school’s counselling service in the further schooling of adolescents, and in their vocational and career path. Based on the results obtained, the paper emphasizes that vocational and career guidance is already important in primary school.
