Izvleček
Članek obravnava pomen načrtne rabe in gradnje matematičnega besedišča za izboljšanje razumevanja matematičnih konceptov ter spodbujanje učinkovitejše komunikacije v učnem procesu. Predstavljene so praktične strategije, kot so besediščni zid (angl. word wall), učne poti z matematičnimi termini ter aktivnosti, ki pri učencih spodbujajo rabo matematičnega izrazoslovja in diskusijo. Predstavljene so tudi izkušnje iz izvedbe delavnice na konferenci KUPM 2024, kjer so udeleženci preizkusili opisane pristope.
Abstract
Impact of Intentional Use of Mathematical Terminology in Mathematics Classroom
This article explores the importance of intentionally using and developing mathematical vocabulary to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts and foster more effective communication in the learning process. It introduces practical strategies, such as word walls, learning paths enriched with mathematical terms, and interactive activities to encourage to use mathematical terminoligy and discussion. Experiences from the Conference on Teaching and Learning Mathematics, where participants tested these approaches, are also presented.
