Potrebujejo vodeni pogovor s sovrstniki in odraslimi osebami.
Abstract
Discussion about a Topical Issue: »Parents Are Getting a Divorce: What about the Child?«
The purpose of this paper is to encourage librarians and social workers at schools to devote some of their time to discussing topical issues, to familiarising children with commonly encountered problems, basing their work on problem situations in quality literary texts. Namely, pupils have problems. They do not like to talk about them, unless encouraged to. They need a guided talk with peers and adults. The right thing to do is to inform them of the causes and consequences of the problems that are a part of their daily lives; to encourage them to think and act responsibly in given situations; and to tell them where they can find help. We should also recommend relevant literature with which they can familiarise themselves with a specific problem. This paper presents the course of a cross-curricular lesson, which was carried out by a teacher, social worker and librarian during a class meeting.
