Izvleček
V prispevku je predstavljeno logaritemsko računalo kot sredstvo za učenje in odkrivanje matematike v osnovni šoli. Prikazana je izvedba projekta v osnovni šoli, v katerem učenci sami izdelajo računsko napravo za množenje in deljenje. Namen projekta je privesti učence do končnega cilja s postopnimi in natančno vodenimi koraki, saj v OŠ nekaterih matematičnih dejstev, na katerih temelji to računalo (logaritmi), še ne poznajo. Učenci na podlagi natančno izdelanih navodil učitelja, z jasnimi in za njim razumljivimi prehodi z osnovne na višjo stopnjo, izdelajo računsko napravo, jo preizkusijo na primerih in spoznajo tudi tehniko uporabe pravega logaritemskega računala. Med izvedbo računala se soočajo z raznimi bolj ali manj zahtevnimi izzivi.
Abstract
Making a Simple Slide Rule in Primary School, Step by Step
The paper presents the slide rule as a means for learning and discovering mathematics in primary school. It presents the implementation of a project in primary school, during which the students made their own calculation tool for multiplication and division. The purpose of the project is to lead students to the final goal through gradual and precisely guided steps, since primary school students are not yet familiar with some of the mathematical facts (i.e. logarithms) on which this calculator is based. Following precise instructions from the teacher and with clear and understandable transitions from the basic to the advanced level, students make a calculation tool, test it on examples, and become familiar with the technique of using a real logarithm calculator. When making the calculator, they will be confronted with various more or less demanding challenges.
