Izvleček
V današnji sodobni družbi, za katero je značilen hiter, stresen, hkrati pa sedeč način življenja, tudi otroci potrebujejo čas za sprostitev in umiritev. Joga za otroke je eden izmed načinov, ki otrokom omogoča ravno to – da se umirijo, sprostijo in hkrati razgibajo. Joga, kot interesna dejavnost v šoli, se je v preteklih letih izkazala za odlično potezo, saj jo učenci zelo radi obiskujejo. Preko nje se sprostijo po rednem pouku, se umirijo in pripravijo na ostale dejavnosti, ki jih še čakajo. Pri jogi za otroke preko različnih dejavnosti spoznavajo asane, jogijsko dihanje, vodene vizualizacije.

Children’s Yoga in School
In today’s modern society, which is characterised by a fast, stressful and sedentary lifestyle, children need time to relax and calm down. Yoga for children is one way to achieve that – for children to calm down and relax while also exercising. In recent years, offering yoga as an extracurricular activity in school has proved to be an excellent idea, as pupils enjoy attending it. Through yoga, they relax after their regular lessons, calm down and get ready for all the other activities awaiting them throughout the day. Through various activities during yoga, the children come to know asanas, yogic breathing and guided visualisations.
