Obrestni račun v življenju pogosto srečamo – težko kupimo avtomobil, stanovanje ali hišo, ne da bi najeli
kredit ali lizing. Za dijake je tema zanimiva, vendar jih dostikrat matematični pristop oddalji od življenjske
uporabnosti. V predstavljenem primeru so dijaki v skupinah pri pouku na daljavo reševali naključno dodeljen resničen problem iz obrestnega računa. Problemi so bili odprte narave in dijaki so sami našli mnogo ustvarjalnih rešitev in pristopov reševanja. Dejavnost se je obnesla kot motivacijsko-povezovalna, saj so s sodelovanjem v skupini krepili tudi sodelovanje. Predstavljeni so tudi drugačni pristopi k obravnavi teme glede na oblike izvajanja pouka (kombinirano, na daljavo ali v šoli).
Abstract
Various Lesson Delivery Modes for Relating Interest Rates to Real-Life Situations
In our lifetime, we frequently come across interest rates – it is becoming increasingly difficult to buy a house, a flat, or even a car without taking out a loan or a lease. Whereas students find this content appealing, the mathematical approach often distracts them from real-world applications. In this case, students collaborated in online groups to solve randomly assigned real-life tasks in an interest-bearing account. The problems were open-ended and the students could propose a variety of creative solutions as well as problem-solving approaches. By emphasising group cooperation, the activity increased motivation and strengthened the bonds among the students. In conclusion, the article provides recommendations on other approaches to the topic – depending on the mode of delivery (i.e., hybrid, online, or face-to-face).
