Izvleček
V sodobnem vse bolj raznolikem učnem okolju je pomembno oblikovati takšne pristope h glasbenemu pouku, ki krepijo medkulturno razumevanje in spodbujajo kulturno občutljivost med dijaki. V članku je predstavljen praktično in teoretično utemeljen primer vključevanja balkanske tradicionalne glasbe s poudarkom na makedonski glasbi v gimnazijski učni program. Predstavljeni so pedagoški učinki, odzivi dijakov in vloga avtentičnih virov ter dijakov iz balkanskega prostora kot soustvarjalcev učnega procesa. Članek argumentira, da lahko tak pristop pomembno prispeva k zmanjševanju predsodkov, večji strpnosti in globljemu razumevanju kulturne raznolikosti v razredu.

Teaching Macedonian Folk Music in Secondary Schools: Jovano Jovanke
In today’s increasingly diverse educational environment, it is important to develop approaches to music education that strengthen intercultural understanding and promote cultural sensitivity among students. This article presents a practical and theoretically grounded example of incorporating traditional Balkan music, with a particular emphasis on Macedonian music, into the grammar school curriculum. It discusses the pedagogical effects, student responses, and the role of authentic sources and students from the Balkan region in co-creating the learning process. The author argues that this approach can contribute significantly to reducing prejudice, increasing tolerance, and deepening understanding of cultural diversity in the classroom.
