Kako povečati delovno zadovoljstvo visokošolskih učiteljev s spodbujanjem pozitivnega organizacijskega vedenja

Povzetek

V visokem šolstvu v Sloveniji se pogosto poudarja pomen spodbujanja kakovosti, vendar je izjemno malo raziskav, ki bi se načrtno in sistematično lotile preučevanja dejavnikov kakovosti s celostne perspektive. Predvsem psihosocialni dejavniki, ki vplivajo na kakovost, so pogosto spregledani. Visokošolski učitelji (in sodelavci) so redko preučevana skupina, ki pa pomembno vpliva na cele generacije študentov. Izhajajoč iz ugotovitev predhodnih raziskav, da delovno zadovoljstvo pomembno vpliva na organizacijsko kakovost, avtorici v prispevku predstavljava nekatere konstrukte iz pozitivne psihologije, kot so pozitivni psihološki kapital, delovni zanos in občutek poslanstva pri delu. Ti so se v najini raziskavi izkazali kot pomembni napovedniki delovnega zadovoljstva visokošolskih učiteljev. V sklepu prispevka predlagava nekatere strategije, ki lahko visokošolskim in drugim učiteljem prispevajo k doživljanju pozitivnih delovnih izkušenj in k večjemu delovnemu zadovoljstvu.

Abstract

How to Increase Job Satisfaction among Higher Education Teachers by Promoting Positive Organizational Behaviour

The importance of promoting quality in higher education is often stressed in Slovenia, however, few studies have deliberately and systematically examined the quality factors from an all-encompassing perspective. Thus, the psychosocial factors that affect quality are often overlooked. Higher education teachers (and associates) are an under-researched group but one that has a significant impact on entire generations of students. Based on the findings of previous studies, namely that job satisfaction has a significant impact on organizational quality, the authors have decided to present some of the positive psychological constructs, such as positive psychological capital, work motivation, and a sense of mission at work. The present research study has proved that these constructs are important predictors of job satisfaction among higher education teachers. In the conclusion, the authors suggest a few strategies that could help higher education teachers and other teachers to gain positive work experiences and a greater job satisfaction.
