Prispevek obravnava jezik kot temeljno orodje učenja in ključni povezovalni element med šolskimi predmeti. Poudarja, da je učenje neločljivo povezano z razvojem jezikovnih zmožnosti, saj učenec z jezikom razvija mišljenje, oblikuje razumevanje ter pridobiva in posreduje znanje. Predstavljeni so skupni cilji na področju jezika in vloga besedilnih vrst kot osrednjega didaktičnega sredstva. analiza učne prakse kaže, da je medpredmetno povezovanje prek jezika smiselno in izvedljivo. Poseben poudarek je namenjen jezikovno občutljivemu poučevanju kot pristopu za vključujoče izobraževanje in razvoj učnega jezika. izpostavljena je vloga učitelja pri načrtnem razvijanju sporazumevalnih zmožnosti. Prispevek poudarja, da celosten pristop k jeziku podpira razvoj funkcionalne in predmetne pismenosti.

Cross-Curricular Language Goals Connecting all School Subjects

The article examines language as a fundamental tool of learning and a key connecting element between school subjects. it emphasizes that learning is inseparably linked to the development of language competence, as the student uses language to develop thinking, shape understanding, and acquire and communicate knowledge. The paper presents cross-curricular language-related objectives and highlights the role of text types as a central didactic tool. An analysis of teaching practice shows that integrating subjects through language is meaningful and feasible. Particular attention is given to language-sensitive teaching as an approach supporting inclusive education and the development of the language of schooling. The role of teachers in systematically developing communicative competence is also emphasized. the article concludes that a comprehensive approach to language fosters functional and subject-specific literacy.
