Izvleček
Z gimnazijci iz naše šole se tradicionalno udeležujemo naravoslovnega vikenda v CŠOD Burja v Portorožu. Eksperimentalne vaje pripravimo profesorji naravoslovnih predmetov. Vse pripomočke prinesemo s seboj. Eksperimentalno delo pri fiziki je osredotočeno na fizikalne poskuse, ki jih lahko izvajamo ob morju. Cilj je z meritvami izračunati gostoto slane in sladke vode s pomočjo Arhimedovega zakona ter specifično toploto slane vode s pomočjo znanja o kalorimetriji. Rezultate meritev in izračunov »opremimo« tudi z negotovostjo. S pomočjo naravoslovnega vikenda dijaki usvojijo eksperimentalno delo pri fiziki in okrepijo področje fizikalnega razumevanja, predvsem pa teoretično znanje preverijo še v praksi.
Abstract
Seaside Physics – Student Experimentation
Traditionally, we take part in a science weekend at the Curricular and Extracurricular Activities Centre Burja in Portorož with our secondary school students. The science teachers prepare experimental activities that can be conducted by the sea and bring all the equipment. The aim is to calculate the density of salt and fresh water using Archimedes’ Principle and the specific heat of saltwater using knowledge of calorimetry. The results of the measurements and calculations are also “fitted” with uncertainty. Through Science Weekend, students learn how to work experimentally in physics and reinforce their understanding of physics, but most importantly, they put their theoretical knowledge to the test in practice.
