Povzetek

Šola je prostor, kjer se poleg »navadnega« pouka odvija vrsta drugih šolskih in obšolskih dejavnosti: proslave, krožki, delavnice, dnevi odprtih vrat, dnevi dejavnosti, karierni sejmi, krajši festivali (npr. glasbeni), različna tekmovanja (npr. First Lego League Slovenija).

Abstract

Activity Day as a Way of Learning to Deal with Emotions

School is a space in which, in addition to ‚regular‘ classes, a number of other school and extracurricular activities take place: celebrations, clubs, workshops, open door days, activity days, career fairs, shorter festivals (e.g. a music festival), and competitions in various disciplines (e.g. First Lego League Slovenia). All of the above-mentioned activities make things more interesting, have a beneficial impact on school climate, and may lead to a pleasant and good way of spending one’s time. Such activities can be used for learning and honing social skills and for gaining knowledge about topics that are not included in regular lessons. One of the basic abilities that are useful in our everyday lives is the balancing of emotions. Under the cognitive-behavioural model, emotions are considered one of the four components of human activity. In the health workshop, eight graders became familiar with the basic concepts and knowledge about emotions, and connected mental contents with the formation of emotions. We focused above all on the emotion of fear.
