Izvleček
V prispevku je obravnavan barok kot umetnostnozgodovinski slog, ki pri nas še danes močno zaznamuje tako mestno kot vaško kulturno krajino. Na začetku so opisane značilnosti sloga vseh zvrsti umetnosti ter celovite okoliščine, v katerih se je razvijal. Ob celostni predstavitvi nekaterih sakralnih in profanih spomenikov (cerkve, palače, meščanske hiše), v katerih se baročni slog najbolj odraža, spoznamo tudi najpomembnejše umetnike in naročnike. Članek temelji na spoznanjih, ki so bila leta 2025 predstavljena na obsežni razstavi Barok v Sloveniji v Narodni galeriji in Narodnem muzeju Slovenije.
Abstract
Baroque Art in Slovenia
The paper addresses the Baroque as an art-historical style that continues to strongly shape both urban and rural cultural landscapes in Slovenia today. It begins with a description of the characteristics of the style across all artistic disciplines and the broader circumstances in which it developed. With a comprehensive presentation of certain sacred and secular monuments (churches, palaces, and townhouses), in which the Baroque style is most clearly reflected, we also become acquainted with the most important artists and patrons. The article is based on the findings that were presented in 2025 at the extensive exhibition Baroque in Slovenia held at the National Gallery of Slovenia and the National Museum of Slovenia.
