Spodbujanje razvoja teorije uma pri otroku z govorno-jezikovnimi motnjami

Izvleček

Teorija uma pomeni razumevanje in predvidevanje posameznikovih čustev, namer, vzrokov, želja in prepričanj. Otroci z govorno-jezikovnimi motnjami imajo lahko upočasnjen razvoj teorije uma. Razvitost govora in teorije uma močno vplivata na komunikacijske spretnosti posameznika ter vključevanje v socialne situacije. V prispevku predstavljamo povezavo med teorijo uma in govorno-jezikovnimi motnjami ter kako lahko z branjem pravljic in s primernimi vprašanji o vsebini spodbujamo razvoj teorije uma. Študija primera z dečkom z govorno-jezikovno motnjo je pokazala pozitivne učinke pripovedovanja zgodb na ta razvoj.

Abstract

Theory of Mind in Children with Speech and Language Impairment

Theory of Mind (ToM) refers to the ability to understand and predict an individual‘s feelings, intentions, causes, desires and beliefs. Children with speech and language impairments may experience delays in the development of ToM. The development of speech and ToM strongly impacts communication skills and the ability to engage in social situations. This article explores the connection between ToM and speech- language impairment, highlighting how ToM development can be enhanced through reading fairy tales and posing appropriate questions about their content. A case study of a boy with a speech and language impairment demonstrated the positive effects of storytelling on ToM development.
